Intro to Ashtanga: Part One

Join Chrissy at the studio for a "get-to-know-you with" Ashtanga yoga and the Primary Series.

Ashtanga Yoga is an 8-limbed system. One of the most popular of those limbs in the West is asana, or posture. While asana is a great place to start, your practice off the mat can become the most rewarding practice you'll have. There are 7 other equally important limbs to the practice of Ashtanga yoga that will be introduced at the workshop.
Class will continue with a step-by-step exploration of the Ashtanga Primary Series, which consists of sun salutations, standing + seated postures, breathing, twists, lifts and balance! Perfect for beginners or those looking to dive deeper into and existing practice.

 

Cost is $25 in advance (can be paid in our SHOP) or $30 drop-in.
