Yoga at the State House 2017

RESCHEDULED FOR MAY 20th, 2017!!!

Our rescheduled event with Grateful Yoga at the Vermont Statehouse in downtown Montpelier. Previously known as Yoga on State Street and postponed from May 6th due to rain, this year we are moving to the steps of the iconic Vermont Statehouse for an incredible outdoor community event. The event is family friendly, free, includes a live raffle, benefits an excellent cause, and a great way to get involved in the local community. Last year Yoga on State Street hosted over 100 yogis and we are hoping to attract even more this year!

All proceeds raised go directly to Prevent Child Abuse Vermont (PCAVT). Prevent Child Abuse Vermont has been serving youth and families in Vermont for 40 years by creating, adopting, and carrying out innovative, proven effective prevention programs. During the 2015 calendar year, PCAVT’s statewide programs served over 18,000 Vermont children, teens, and adults through direct service and training.

Coupled with Montpelier’s outdoor farmers market, this is an excellent excuse to get out and enjoy all the capital city has to offer!

$12 drop-in, $60/6 weeks

This is an experiential series of classes that will show you some of the tools you can use to explore, remember and uncover your unique gifts.  This is accomplished through meditation, creative visualization with a side trip to Shamanic journeying.  We will also discover what different metaphysical beliefs may assist you on this journey.

Everyone has the ability to tap into their own resources, connect with their higher power, Spirit, whatever you choose to call it.  Finding this connection through meditation brings you closer to that Source wherein your answers are waiting.

Intro to Ashtanga: Part One

Join Chrissy at the studio for a "get-to-know-you with" Ashtanga yoga and the Primary Series.

suptapada.jpg

Ashtanga Yoga is an 8-limbed system. One of the most popular of those limbs in the West is asana, or posture. While asana is a great place to start, your practice off the mat can become the most rewarding practice you'll have. There are 7 other equally important limbs to the practice of Ashtanga yoga that will be introduced at the workshop.
Class will continue with a step-by-step exploration of the Ashtanga Primary Series, which consists of sun salutations, standing + seated postures, breathing, twists, lifts and balance! Perfect for beginners or those looking to dive deeper into and existing practice.

Cost is $25 in advance (can be paid in our SHOP) or $30 drop-in.

Attend both workshops, Part One + Part Two, for just $45 pre-pay or $50 drop-in!

Please bring water, a yoga mat if you have one, a hand towel or bandana and all of your friends! And check out Intro to Ashtanga: Part Two!
