Anika is a RYT500 graduate from Grateful Yoga, who has been teaching vinyasa style classes at the studio since 2015. She also is a co-instructor for the Grateful Yoga Teacher Training program.
Outside of the studio she can be found fostering nature connections in children as the Youth Programs Director at EarthWalk Vermont.
Johannah first began practicing Mysore style Ashtanga Yoga in 2012 while living in Olympia, WA. She fell in love with the practice and has continued to follow her passion and curiosity for Yoga ever since. She has completed Ashtanga teacher trainings with Kathy McNames, David Swenson, and Christine Hoar. This year she also finished her Ayurvedic Health Counselor certification through The Ayurvedic Center of Vermont and Kripalu. She hopes to continue to weave together her studies of Ayurvedic medicine and Ashtanga Yoga to expand her and her students experience both on and off the mat. Johannah teaches the Primary and Intermediate series of Ashtanga and is working towards building a Mysore community here in central Vermont. During her classes she offers hands on assists, individualized attention, and warmly welcomes students of all levels and backgrounds. In addition, she currently works as a mental health mentor and gardener and is excited to be planning her first trip to Mysore, India this winter!
Bibby Burgos has been teaching Ashtanga influenced yoga since his 200 hour YTT graduation in 2018. Bringing his Caribbean flow to Central VT, his classes are a unique + fun style of Vinyasa for all levels. Bibby is also one of the best kitesurfing instructors in the Dominican Republic, a PADI divemaster and loves to surf + hike!

Sam is a 200 RYT and recently finished a 100 hour Ashtanga teacher training with David Swenson.
Barb Alpert has been doing yoga for around 40 years! Since it brings such joy and goodness to her, she keeps loving it and living it! Barb completed her RYT-200 with Shiva Shakti School of Yoga and Healing Arts in 2013, and her RYT-300 with Chrissy at Grateful Yoga in early 2017. She is a long time massage therapist as well as a clinical herbalist and health coach and loves to help people find their health, life purpose, and joy. In the summer, you can often find Barb in her garden or at the lake!
Devon trained for many years in classical ballet and modern dance. These days, her love for movement is expressed through her yoga. She completed her 200 hr training with Boston Yoga School and has done additional training in Yin Yoga and Functional Anatomy. Devon values intelligent posture sequencing and conscious alignment. Her classes provide a balance of comfort, freedom, and fun and create a safe space for growth and exploration.
Matisse is currently enrolled in her 200 hour YTT at Grateful Yoga. She is an inspiration on and off her mat!
Chrissy is a yoga-lover. She is the studio owner, a yoga teacher trainer and leads retreats worldwide. Founder of Rise + Vibe, she aspires to help others find their own yoga. When not in the studio or traveling around, visit her at Yoga Kite Camp in the Dominican Republic for some kitesurfing, ocean bliss and jungle adventures.
Chrissy’s teaching style is accessible to all yogis at all levels, dynamic in flow and founded on the philosophical traditions of Ashtanga Yoga.
