Thursday Morning Pranayama w/ Chrissy Lefavour

We will meet the first three Thursdays in November (11/6-11/20) to practice different ways of breathing.

8:30-9:30 am, by donation.

Pranayama are breathing techniques that have been used by humans for thousands of years to energize the brain, clear the mind and become closer to inner truth. Pranayama is one of eight limbs in Ashtanga Yoga and is a very important part of the practice along with asana, meditation and loving kindness. Learn what it means to have a heated breath vs a cooling breath, discuss the three main bandhas and how they help move or hold energy in the body, clear the brain by giving 100% focus and effort to your breath, prana, chi or life force.

We have blankets and mats at the studio, if you need an extra cushion to sit on please bring your favorite one.
