A brief post because sometimes you have to be brief.

The universe has this thing it likes to do, it’s called showing up. The funny thing is, if we do the same thing, just show up, it’s amazing what can happen. Sparks flying, light bulbs flashing, bells ringing.... Well, it’s not always like that. I can’t count the number of times I have unwillingly rolled out my mat and coaxed or even bribed myself into getting there, “You can get a milkshake after you practice.” The strangest part is that 20 or 60 or 90 minutes later I feel like I belong again. Centered, back on earth, in my body, with my heartbeat, and my breath... The “universe” is a big word for a sense of knowing or collective consciousness and when I practice I feel like I know and am known at the same time. The only way to exist today beyond space and time is to live in the present moment; show up when it matters, take care of yourself, love and create peace. That is why I unroll my mat, today and every day.

Anyone can practice. Young man can practice. Old man can practice. Very old man can practice. Man who is sick, he can practice. Man who doesn't have strength can practice. Except lazy people; lazy people can't practice Ashtanga yoga.
